Well, here we go. This is my first attempt at blogging, so bear with me. Is that the proper form of the word "bear" or is it "bare"? The Google is telling me it's "bear", so I'll go with that, since Google is NEVER wrong! It's Wednesday and my last day at work for 18 days. I hope I don't have too much piled on my desk when I return. We're Las Vegas bound on the bikes and took tomorrow off to cut grass, clean the house, get the bikes ready, and pack. We're staying with our friends, Bob and Cathy, in Vegas and hopefully they'll let us use their laundry. I bet they will since we'll be pretty smell after 5 days on the road. For those that haven't ridden for any distance, the clothes get pretty ripe while travelling. A combination of sweat, road grime, and probably the scent of roadkill collects on your clothes. Yea, I think they'll let us use their laundry!
Friday morning, August 31st is the leave date, with the first stop in Davenport, Iowa, about 512 miles. Stay tuned for news from the road...
